Coldplay to Rock El Paso: Exclusive Texas Concert Announced!

British rock band Coldplay is set to perform at the Sun Bowl in El Paso next summer as part of their Music of The Spheres World Tour, according to an announcement made by the UTEP Special Events Office and Live Nation. The concert is scheduled for June 13, 2025, and will be the band’s only Texas show during the tour.

UTEP Executive Director of Special Events, Jorge Vasquez, discussed the university’s preparations for the event, focusing on ticket management, Wi-Fi access, and food services. He anticipates a significant influx of visitors from across Texas and the surrounding areas, highlighting the economic benefits the concert will bring.

Vasquez mentioned ongoing efforts to enhance the venue’s infrastructure despite a bond proposal that will not appear on the ballot, aiming to attract more top-tier artists to the Sun Bowl. He emphasized the goal of upgrading facilities to meet modern demands.

To improve fan experience, UTEP has acquired Ticketmaster scanners to expedite entry and is working on other technological enhancements. He advises attendees to download their tickets prior to arrival for quicker access, as well as to plan their visit in advance.

For those interested in attending, Live Nation has opened an Artist Presale for tickets, available until October 10 at 10 a.m. ET, with the presale officially commencing on October 11 at 9 a.m. local time. General sales will also start on the same day at noon.

Additionally, Coldplay will offer a limited number of Infinity Tickets for $20 each, aimed at making the concert accessible to fans. These tickets will have specific purchasing conditions and can be picked up at the box office on the concert day.

The tour will kick off with several performances across the U.S. and Canada, including stops in Stanford, Las Vegas, and Denver, before concluding in Miami on July 26.
