Coldplay is set to headline the Sun Bowl in El Paso next summer as part of their Music of The Spheres World Tour, as announced by the UTEP Special Events Office in collaboration with Live Nation. The concert will take place on June 13, 2025, marking El Paso as the band’s only stop in Texas during the American leg of the tour.
UTEP’s Executive Director of Special Events, Jorge Vasquez, shared insights on the preparations for the event, emphasizing improvements in ticketing, Wi-Fi, and concession stands to enhance the visitor experience. He anticipates a considerable economic boost, noting, “We expect visitors from all over Texas and the region.”
Despite a proposed bond that will not be on the ballot, Vasquez expressed a commitment to upgrading the facilities to attract more top-tier artists in the future. “We’re trying to improve the infrastructure that we need. We’ll continue to upgrade the facility. That’s my goal to have those changes that this facility needs to be implemented as soon as possible,” he stated.
To streamline entry, UTEP has invested in new ticket scanners to facilitate quicker admission. Vasquez urged concertgoers to download their tickets prior to arrival for a faster entrance and to prepare in advance.
Live Nation has announced that fans can sign up for the Artist Presale until October 10 at 10 a.m. ET, with the presale beginning on October 11 at 9 a.m. local time. General ticket sales will commence on the same day at 12 p.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
Additionally, Coldplay will offer a limited number of Infinity Tickets priced at USD 20/20 CAD for the concert. These tickets are designed to ensure accessibility for fans, allowing a maximum of two tickets per purchase. The exact locations of these seats will be disclosed at the box office on the day of the event.
