Coldplay, the renowned British rock band, is set to perform at the Sun Bowl in El Paso next summer as part of their Music of The Spheres World Tour, announced the UTEP Special Events Office and Live Nation. The concert is scheduled for June 13, 2025, and it will be the band’s only show in Texas during this tour.
UTEP’s Executive Director of Special Events, Jorge Vasquez, shared insights into the preparations for the event, highlighting efforts related to ticketing, Wi-Fi, and concession services. “We anticipate attendees from across Texas and the surrounding region, which will have a significant economic impact,” Vasquez stated. He noted that despite a proposed bond by the university not appearing on the ballot, UTEP is committed to enhancing facilities to attract more high-profile artists to the venue. “We’re working on necessary improvements to the infrastructure. Our goal is to implement enhancements that the facility needs as soon as possible,” he added.
To facilitate a smoother entry process, UTEP has acquired Ticketmaster scanners for quicker ticket checks and is incorporating additional technology for faster ingress. Vasquez advises concertgoers to download their tickets in advance for expedited entry.
In terms of concessions, UTEP is initiating several new initiatives specifically for the concert. Fans interested in attending can sign up for the Artist Presale, which runs until Thursday, October 10, at 10 a.m. ET for an early chance at tickets. The presale will begin on October 11 at 9 a.m. local time, with the general ticket sale launching the same day at noon on ticketmaster.com.
Coldplay will also offer a limited number of Infinity Tickets for all shows, which promote affordable access to their concert experience. Priced at $20 USD or CAD each, these tickets can be purchased in pairs, with a maximum of two per buyer. Seat locations will be disclosed upon ticket pickup at the venue on the day of the event, with options ranging from floor seating to upper levels.
The tour itinerary includes multiple major cities, starting on May 31 in Stanford, CA, and concluding in Miami, FL, on July 26, with El Paso being a notable stop along the way.
