Following Smotherman is Taylor Moore, who sits in second place at 8-under after matching his opening round score of 67. A.J. Ewart and Nico Echavarria are tied for third at 7-under par.

The tournament will proceed with players grouped in threesomes, starting from both the 1st and 10th tees. Forecasts indicate a 50 percent chance of showers around 1 p.m., increasing to over 60 percent for thunderstorms by 5 p.m.

In addition to the action on the course, there was a noteworthy incident involving Billy Horschel, who confronted a fan at PGA National. As the tournament progresses, spectators can look forward to more excitement on the greens.
