Lady Gaga, Green Day, Post Malone, and Travis Scott are set to headline Coachella 2025, marking a highly anticipated return of big names to the iconic music festival. Travis Scott, known for his innovative performances, will design an immersive experience dubbed “CatcusCon” to enhance the festival’s atmosphere, performing after Green Day on the Saturday nights.
Scott’s return to Coachella comes five years after his scheduled headline debut in 2020 was canceled due to the pandemic. He was also slated to perform in 2022 but was removed from the lineup following a tragic crowd surge at his Astroworld festival in 2021, which resulted in casualties.
This will be Lady Gaga’s second time headlining Coachella, having filled in for Beyoncé in 2017 when she was unable to perform due to her pregnancy. Meanwhile, while Post Malone has graced the Coachella stage multiple times, this will be his first time as a headliner. Notably, Green Day has never officially performed at the festival, although frontman Billie Joe Armstrong joined the Replacements on stage in 2014.
In an enthusiastic statement, Armstrong expressed the enduring relevance of rock music, saying, “In this world gone sideways, we know one thing for certain: rock’n’roll is forever, and its spirit is needed now more than ever.” He invited fans to bring their energy and spirit to the festival.
Coachella 2025 will also feature a diverse lineup of other artists, including Megan Thee Stallion, Charli XCX, Missy Elliot, FKA twigs, and Blackpink members Jennie and Lisa, who will perform separately this year. Last year’s Coachella saw a slower ticket sales pace compared to previous years, which adds to the anticipation for 2025.
The festival is scheduled to take place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, over two weekends: April 11-13 and April 18-20.
