The Lower Hudson Valley is gearing up for a cloudy weekend as forecasts indicate potential rain starting Friday, June 13. According to the National Weather Service, Friday will be predominantly overcast, with daytime temperatures reaching the upper 70s.

As the evening approaches, the area may experience isolated thunderstorms along with a 70% chance of rain after midnight. Nighttime temperatures are expected to dip into the lower 60s. The NWS has also issued a “limited” risk for lightning until early Saturday morning, highlighting the possibility of scattered thunderstorms that could pose a risk due to dangerous cloud-to-ground lightning.

The cloudy weather will persist into Saturday, with a likelihood of showers throughout the day and highs around the mid-60s, accompanied by northeast winds of 5 to 10 mph. Saturday night is predicted to remain cloudy with a 50% chance of rain and lows in the upper 50s.

As we look to Sunday, the clouds will continue to dominate the sky, with a slight 20% chance of showers and daytime temperatures reaching the upper 60s. Evening conditions will mirror previous nights, with cloud cover and a 30% chance of rain as temperatures cool to the upper 50s.
