Cleveland Restaurateur Faces Shocking Legal Battle Amid Violent Allegations

Bobby George, a 43-year-old from Lakewood, near Cleveland, faces serious legal charges following an incident reported to police on August 9. Charged with attempted murder, four counts of kidnapping, two counts of strangulation, one count of rape, and one count of felony assault, George is accused of multiple offenses that reportedly occurred between November 2023 and July. He turned himself in after authorities issued a warrant for his arrest on Friday.

According to reports, George allegedly strangled a woman and slammed her head to the ground on November 14, 2023. He is also accused of forcing her out of a vehicle at gunpoint and holding the weapon to her stomach before taking her inside. Furthermore, the victim claims that George raped her after she emerged from the shower.

Bobby George is a well-known figure in the Cleveland restaurant scene, owning establishments such as TownHall, REBoL, and Barley House, as well as TownHall and Mandrake Rooftop in the Short North area, and REBoL in Dublin. He has plans for expansion, including a new three-building restaurant and entertainment complex in Cleveland’s Flats East Bank neighborhood.

In addition to his restaurant ventures, George is the founder of Ethos Hospitality Group, a company that focuses on hospitality and marketing, and holds majority stakes in over 40 businesses. He has participated in various industry conferences, sharing insights on entrepreneurship.

George’s family has a notable connection to politics, specifically to the House Bill 6 controversy involving FirstEnergy. His father, Tony George, has been implicated in dealings related to a bribery scandal that facilitated a lucrative bailout for FirstEnergy.
