Clemson Stars Shine on 2025 Football Watch Lists!

Clemson football offensive lineman Ryan Linthicum has made it onto the 2025 Rimington Trophy Watch List, which recognizes the top centers in college football. He joins the ranks of eight other ACC starters, with a total of 38 players featured on the list. Notable competitors include players from Miami, Florida State, Louisville, and North Carolina, among others.

The Rimington Trophy is awarded annually, and last year’s recipient was Seth McLaughlin from Ohio State. Linthicum, a 6-foot-3, 305-pound senior from Damascus, Maryland, had an impressive college career thus far, participating in 1,085 offensive snaps over 23 games and starting all 14 games at center last season. He was highly regarded in the 2021 recruiting class, being ranked as the best center by Rivals and the fourth-best by ESPN.

In addition to Linthicum’s recognition, Clemson’s receivers Bryant Wesco Jr. and Antonio Williams have also made headlines by being named to the preseason Biletnikoff Award Watch List. This award is presented annually to the nation’s most outstanding pass-catcher. Williams had a standout season in 2024, recording 75 receptions for 904 yards and 11 touchdowns, while Wesco, a true freshman, contributed positively with 41 catches for 708 yards and five touchdowns.

Moreover, several other Clemson players have been recognized on various 2025 preseason watch lists, including Blake Miller, Peter Woods, and Cade Klubnik, reflecting the team’s depth and talent heading into the new season.

Clemson’s 2025 football schedule features an exciting opening game against LSU on August 30, marking a thrilling start for the season. As the program prepares for this challenging road ahead, fans look forward to an action-packed year filled with potential and high-stakes games.
