David X. Sullivan, Thomas J. Finn, and Gregory A. Hall from the law firm McCarter & English have officially represented Sunrun Installation Services in an ongoing civil rights lawsuit. This case was initiated on September 4 in the Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke, who is acting on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins.
The lawsuit revolves around claims that Sunrun failed to notify the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection about the termination of Steins’ employment in 2017, as well as his subsequent loss of the company’s home improvement contractor license. Steins was arrested and charged for employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. However, those charges were dismissed in May 2024.
