Victoria McGee, Zoological Manager of Primates, highlighted the importance of the initial days after birth, stating, “We are currently in a critical three-day window for the pups.” However, there is hope as the team reports that the sounds coming from the newborns indicate they are healthy.
Currently, Munti, the pups, and their father, Flounder, are nestled in their nest, remaining out of the public eye. Due to this, the exact number of pups has yet to be determined. The family is expected to remain off their habitat for about eight weeks to allow for bonding and caretaking.
