Greater Cincinnati is bracing for one of its first snowfalls of the season, as the National Weather Service in Wilmington predicts snow showers from Sunday night into Monday. Accumulations could be minimal but are expected to create wintery conditions across the region.

As temperatures drop throughout Sunday, November 9, the forecast predicts a low of 25 degrees. Rain is expected to mix with snow showers before 10 p.m., picking up again after 3 a.m., potentially resulting in less than half an inch of snow accumulation by Monday morning.

On November 10, snow showers are anticipated to produce light accumulations primarily on grassy and elevated surfaces, mainly before 2 p.m. The morning commute could face minor travel impacts due to the weather. New snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are possible throughout the day, with additional snow showers likely between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., which may bring another light coating.

Temperatures will remain chilly as the week begins, with a high of 36 degrees expected on Monday and a low of 24 degrees. Winds will be moderate, ranging from 7 to 13 mph. However, a warming trend is forecast for the latter part of the week, with daytime temperatures projected to reach the 60s by the weekend.

The outlook for Cincinnati’s weather over the next few days includes:

– Sunday: Cloudy with a chance of showers and a steady temperature near 40 degrees. Chance of precipitation stands at 40%.

– Sunday Night: Rain and snow showers expected before 10 p.m., with temperatures cooling to around 25 degrees. A 50% chance of precipitation is predicted, with new snow accumulation less than half an inch.

– Monday: High near 36 degrees with snow showers primarily before 2 p.m. Chance of precipitation is at 90%, with possible new snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches.

– Monday Night: Snow showers may linger between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m., leading to partly cloudy skies later on. Low near 24 degrees.

– Moving into midweek, expect partly sunny skies on Tuesday with a high near 42, and subsequent days leading to warmer temperatures approaching 60 by Friday.

This early snowfall signals the transition into winter and serves as a reminder for residents to prepare for colder weather and changing conditions in the coming days.
