Chris Young is excited to announce the launch of his inaugural holiday tour, titled “It Must Be Christmas — An Acoustic Evening with Chris Young.” This 15-date tour kicks off on November 20 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and will run through December 20, culminating in Wallingford, Connecticut. The tour promises to feature a delightful mix of Christmas classics alongside fan-favorite hits at iconic venues like the Paramount Theater and the Dow Event Center Theatre. Rising star MaRynn Taylor is set to join Young as a special guest throughout the tour.
“Christmas is probably my favorite holiday,” Young expressed, sharing his enthusiasm. “Music was always heavily tied to the spirit of the season for me, so I can’t wait to celebrate that feeling with everyone out on the road this year!”
In preparation for the tour, Young recently unveiled two new Christmas singles: “Christmas Ain’t Christmas” and a fresh cover of “Silver Bells.” The former, co-written with Joel Hutsell, Emma Lee, and Lindsay Rimes, offers a heartfelt reflection on the meaningful people and moments that define the holiday season. Young’s rendition of “Silver Bells” uniquely blends shimmering pedal steel with his signature vocal warmth, providing a nostalgic touch to the beloved holiday classic.
These new releases align with Young’s ongoing momentum following his tenth studio album, “I Didn’t Come Here To Leave.” The introduction of holiday music showcases his creativity amid the album’s rollout and adds to the excitement surrounding his upcoming tour.
