Brian Gutiérrez has arrived in Guadalajara, marking the imminent official announcement of his signing as the newest reinforcement for Chivas ahead of the Clausura 2026 tournament in Liga MX. The midfielder touched down at the local airport on Thursday, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to join the prestigious club and describing the moment as “more than a dream come true.”
Upon his arrival, Gutiérrez shared his excitement about starting this new chapter in his career and emphasized his eagerness to wear the red and white jersey. “Thank you very much for the warm welcome, I am happy about what lies ahead; it’s a dream come true,” he stated to the media.
Gutiérrez will partake in the full preseason with the team, aiming to integrate swiftly into the playing style of head coach Gabriel Miltio. Within the Rebaño’s setup, he is viewed as an offensive alternative competing for a spot alongside notable players such as Roberto Alvarado, Efraín Álvarez, Santiago Sandoval, and Hugo Camberos.
Originally from the academy of Chicago Fire, Gutiérrez made his professional debut in 2020 and established himself as a key player in the MLS, where he signed a contract that runs through 2028 under the U-22 Initiative. In 2023, he was a standout performer, leading in assists and earning the title of Most Valuable Player while also being recognized as one of the young talents to watch in North American soccer.
With this exciting addition, Chivas fans have a reason to be hopeful for the forthcoming season, as Gutiérrez’s skills and fresh energy could play a pivotal role in the team’s performance.
