KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Kansas City Chiefs, this year’s Super Bowl champions, are collaborating with the Community Blood Center (CBC) to host a blood drive, continuing their longtime partnership aimed at making a significant impact on community health. This event is particularly crucial, as blood donations often decline during the holiday season.
The blood drive is scheduled for Thursday, November 21, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Fans and prospective donors can look forward to special appearances by KC Wolf, the Chiefs Cheerleaders, and Chiefs Ambassadors throughout the day, adding excitement to this important initiative.
Participants will receive a Chiefs t-shirt as a token of appreciation, and they will also be entered into a drawing for a chance to win tickets to the Chiefs’ home game against the Raiders on November 29. Chelsey Smith, Director of Public Relations at CBC, emphasized the importance of this event, noting that the Chiefs’ consistent support has been invaluable, especially during this challenging time for blood collection.
Moreover, the following Chiefs Week festivities, running from November 24 to December 7, promise more opportunities for fans as each blood donor at CBC locations will also be entered into a chance to win tickets to the Chiefs vs. Texans game on December 21.
Smith remarked on the critical role of blood donations in supporting the healthcare system and expressed gratitude towards the Chiefs for their commitment to fostering a healthier community.
As Chiefs fans prepare for a season of celebration, this blood drive stands as a perfect opportunity to give back and support those in need while enjoying the spirit of football.
In summary, this partnership not only highlights the Chiefs’ dedication to community service but also provides fans a way to contribute positively during the holiday season. Donating blood can save lives, and with the added incentive of Chiefs-related prizes, it offers a unique way for fans to engage with their team and community.
