Chick-fil-A achieved a notable score of 83 out of 100 in the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) study, which is based on feedback from around 200,000 participants each year. This score places Chick-fil-A ahead of major competitors such as Starbucks and Panda Express, both of which earned scores of 80. In contrast, McDonald’s found itself at the bottom of the rankings with a score of 70.

In other news, the hemp beverage industry is experiencing significant growth, prompting the Hemp Beverage Alliance Expo, which is billed as the largest event of its kind in the country. Scheduled for July 9-11 at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park, the expo will feature nearly 100 exhibitors and over 45 speakers. Earlier this year, Georgia lawmakers deliberated on legislation concerning the sale of hemp-based, THC-infused beverages. While an initial ban was considered, the legislation eventually shifted to enhance access, allowing sales in package stores—although the bill did not progress.

The rising interest in hemp beverages reflects a broader trend as consumers increasingly seek alternatives to traditional alcoholic drinks. Registration for the Hemp Beverage Expo remains open on their official website, allowing industry participants to engage with the latest trends.

Additionally, the Atlanta restaurant scene is thriving with various openings and events. Notably, the pop-up Pink Piggy Saloon at the Blind Pig Parlour Bar embraces a fun, Western theme complete with new food and drink offerings. Wild Heaven Beer is also hosting a month-long residency featuring Peruvian street food by chef Arnaldo Castillo. Meanwhile, Ecco is introducing a special “Summer in Paris” menu for a limited time, showcasing classic French cuisine.

Restaurant openings include The Hampton Social in Dunwoody, Whataburger in Buford, and Mission Burger Co. in West Midtown, alongside Cinnabon Swirl’s first Georgia location opening in Kennesaw. Conversely, some establishments like Adobo ATL and Mellow Mushroom in Decatur are facing closures, emphasizing the dynamic nature of the local dining landscape.

Overall, Georgia continues to see shifts in both customer satisfaction in fast food and innovation within the beverage industry, alongside a vibrant restaurant scene that reflects changing consumer preferences and trends.
