This Sunday, the Bank of America Chicago 13.1 race is set to take place on the city’s West Side, commencing at 7 a.m. with thousands of participants anticipated for the event.
Starting and concluding in Garfield Park, the race will journey through notable locations including Humboldt Park and Douglass Park. To facilitate the event, the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications has announced several street closures along the route.
For the event, the following streets will be closed:
– Music Ct. Circle: from Hamlin Blvd. to Woodward Dr. (closed until Monday at 5 p.m.)
– Woodward Dr.: from Madison St. to Jackson Blvd. (closed until Monday at 5 p.m.)
– Madison St.: from Hamlin Blvd. to Central Park Ave. (closed until Sunday at 5 p.m.)
– Jackson Blvd.: from Hamlin Blvd. to Central Park Ave. (closed until Sunday at 5 p.m.)
– McCrea Dr.: from Schraeder Dr. to the end (closed until Sunday at 5 p.m.)
Additional closures will begin early Sunday:
– Madison St.: from Central Park Ave. to St. Louis Ave. (closed from 2 a.m. to 11 a.m.)
– Central Park Ave.: from Washington Blvd. to 5th Ave. (closed from 2 a.m. to 11 a.m.)
– Independence Blvd. and Douglas Blvd.: from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
– Hamlin Blvd., Schraeder Dr., and several others will close from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.
