A police officer in Chicago was shot and injured Thursday night in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side. In the rush to get the injured officer to medical attention, the vehicle transporting her was involved in an accident, which resulted in the car catching fire. An officer confirmed this over the radio, saying, “The transport vehicle is on fire.”
