Ranking No. 4 in the nation in the MaxPreps boys lacrosse computer rankings, the Bruins are celebrated for their athletic prowess. The school holds a prestigious record in Colorado, boasting a total of 248 state championships, with 125 titles earned by boys’ teams and 112 by girls’ teams.
Cherry Creek’s athletic program has also made history by winning the MaxPreps Cup, marking it as the first school from Colorado to achieve this honor and the second from the western United States. While the previous MaxPreps Cup champion, Wayzata from Minnesota, did not retain its title this year, it still celebrated six state championships, finishing 14th overall in the standings. Other schools making significant gains in the rankings include Vestavia Hills from Alabama and Oceanside Collegiate Academy from South Carolina, both of which rose sharply in the rankings due to their impressive performances during the spring season.
