Cher Shines at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show: A Night of Empowerment

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show made a grand return on Tuesday night, October 15, with legendary performer Cher closing the show. The iconic singer captivated the audience with two of her most empowering tracks.

The performance began with a powerful choir introduction accompanied by a montage of Cher’s images spanning her remarkable career on the backdrop. Cher, wearing a dazzling black jumpsuit and sporting her signature jet-black hair, opened the show with her hit song “Strong Enough” from 1998. Surrounded by a talented group of dancers, she conveyed the song’s emotional verses before launching into the inspiring chorus.

At 78, Cher then made her way down the runway to a gold platform where she performed her classic hit “Believe,” also from 1998. During this performance, renowned models such as Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Candice Swanepoel, and Adriana Lima adorned the runway in angel wings and vibrant red and pink lingerie.

Both tracks are from Cher’s 22nd studio album, “Believe,” where “Strong Enough” reached the top of the Dance Club Songs chart for one week, while “Believe” topped that chart for five weeks and also dominated the Billboard Hot 100 chart for four weeks in 1999.

Cher led an impressive all-female lineup for the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which included performances by LISA, Orianthi, and Tyla.
