Cher Resurrects Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show with Dazzling Performance

Cher dazzled as she made a striking appearance at the revived Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Tuesday, headlining the event with a vibrant performance of her hits “Strong Enough” and “Believe.” The pop legend transformed the runway into a lively disco atmosphere, captivating the audience as renowned models like Gigi and Bella Hadid walked the catwalk, singing along to her songs.

Before Cher’s performance, a montage showcasing her most memorable fashion moments, with special nods to designer Bob Mackie, played on the big screen while a choir provided a musical backdrop. Cher took to the stage to enthusiastic applause, kicking off her performance with “Strong Enough,” surrounded by a group of dancers who complemented her striking black hair and corseted attire.

As the show unfolded, the camera captured models preparing backstage until Cher elevated the atmosphere by stepping onto a golden platform for “Believe,” prompting a parade of models in stunning red outfits, culminating with Bella Hadid’s final walk. The camera also captured the star-studded audience, including Queen Latifah.

Following Cher’s departure, Tyra Banks made a memorable comeback strutting in a corseted design alongside the diverse group of models taking part in this year’s fashion show. Cher’s standout performance coincides with her recent greatest hits album, Forever, and she is set to release her memoir later this fall, divided into two volumes—with Part One launching in November. This year also saw Cher being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, with the ceremony scheduled for this weekend.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which originally aired from 1995 to 2018, was notably canceled in 2019 due to declining ratings and backlash against its former executive Edward Razek, who faced criticism for comments dismissing transgender and plus-sized models and for promoting a culture of misogyny within the brand.
