The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show made a grand return on Tuesday night, October 15, featuring the legendary Cher as its closing performer. The iconic singer took the stage to deliver stirring renditions of two of her most celebrated hits.
Kicking off her performance with a powerful introduction from a choir and a montage of her career highlights displayed behind her, Cher captivated the audience in a dazzling black jumpsuit that complemented her striking jet-black hair. She began with her 1998 anthem “Strong Enough,” passionately singing the heartfelt verses surrounded by a group of dancers before launching into the uplifting chorus.
At the age of 78, Cher showcased her timeless talent as she strode down the runway to a gold platform, where she performed her classic hit “Believe.” This segment featured some of Victoria’s Secret’s famed models, including Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Candice Swanepoel, and Adriana Lima, as they graced the runway adorned in angel wings and stylish lingerie in shades of red and pink.
Both of Cher’s songs are from her 22nd studio album, Believe, which made waves on the Dance Club Songs chart, with “Strong Enough” reaching the top for a week and “Believe” dominating for five weeks. The latter also led the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks in 1999.
Cher headlined the all-female lineup for the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which also included performances by LISA, Orianthi, and Tyla.
