The Chennai Bulls, comprising captain Prashant Singh (also known as Shiv), Sumit Kumar Roy, Ganesh Majhi, and Deepak Punja, are currently in Fiji for the McDonald’s Coral Coast Fiji 7s. Despite being the only quartet from their club in India, they have found the experience immensely rewarding, thanks to the camaraderie with their Fijian teammates and the opportunity to learn from rugby legends.

Captain Singh expressed gratitude towards everyone involved in making their trip possible and highlighted the team’s motivation to draw knowledge from the rich rugby culture in Fiji. “With our experience, it just started and it’s going very well. We just came here to learn a lot from the legends of rugby who played with us already in the RFL (Rugby Premier League),” Singh remarked.

The players are relishing their time in Fiji, captivated by the stunning weather, picturesque landscapes, and the warm hospitality of the locals. “It’s just a good experience; we are just seeing again and again the weather and the scenery is just so beautiful,” he noted. Though they wish to extend their stay, they are limited to just four more days before heading back, with aspirations to explore more of the beautiful country during their brief visit.

The Chennai Bulls have previously welcomed Fijian players like Joseva Talacolo and Filipe Sauturaga to their roster in the last season of the Rugby Premier League, further emphasizing the strong bond and influence between the teams across borders. This trip not only highlights the unity of rugby but also fosters learning and cultural exchange among players from different nations.
