Chappell Roan publicly confronted a photographer during the red carpet event for Netflix’s Olivia Rodrigo: Guts World Tour film premiere in Los Angeles on October 25. The film is set to stream on October 28. The singer-songwriter recognized the photographer from a past unpleasant interaction and approached him, stating, “You,” as she pointed at him.
Roan expressed her discontent, saying, “You were so disrespectful to me at the Grammys.” Footage shared on social media shows her recalling an incident where the photographer yelled at her during a Grammy party, asserting, “I remember. You were so rude to me. And I deserve an apology for that … You need to apologize to me.”
Chappell Roan, who has previously opened for Olivia Rodrigo and collaborated with her on the track “Hot to Go,” also addressed another photographer at the VMAs last month after they told her to “Shut the f— up,” to which she confidently replied, “You shut the f— up,” emphasizing, “Not me, b—-.”
During the red carpet event, Rodrigo praised Roan, stating, “She actually gives me so much advice on taking care of myself and being me in an industry that’s so overwhelming sometimes. I really appreciate her. If I give her any advice, I’m not so sure. But I get a lot from her.”
