In the upcoming sequel “Nobody 2,” Bob Odenkirk reprises his role as Hutch Mansell, the suburban husband turned assassin who navigated the perilous world of the Russian mob in the original 2021 action-thriller. This new chapter promises to blend humor and intense action as Hutch embarks on a family vacation that quickly spirals out of control.
Set four years after the events of the first film, Hutch is still burdened with a $30 million debt to the criminal underworld, forcing him into a relentless cycle of assassinations of international thugs. To rekindle the spark in his marriage with Becca, played by Connie Nielsen, the couple decides to take their children to Wild Bill’s Majestic Midway and Waterpark, a nostalgic throwback to Hutch’s childhood vacations with his brother Harry, portrayed by RZA.
Their family getaway takes a dark turn when a run-in with local bullies leads to trouble with a corrupt theme-park operator and a shady sheriff. This puts Hutch in the crosshairs of a dangerous crime boss, played by Sharon Stone, whose ruthlessness surpasses any adversary he has faced before.
Directed by Timo Tjahjanto, “Nobody 2” also sees the return of screenwriter Derek Kolstad, known for the “John Wick” franchise, ensuring that fans can expect a thrilling and well-crafted sequel. The film is produced by 87North and Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment, with notable names like Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, and Marc Provissiero among the producers.
The sequel is set to hit theaters on August 15, and it offers a mix of action and family dynamics that could appeal to both fans of the original and new audiences alike. With a talented cast and an engaging storyline, “Nobody 2” appears ready to bring excitement back to the big screen.
