A chaotic scene unfolded at the Kaseya Center in Miami during an NBA YoungBoy concert on Monday night. 23-year-old Marcus Antwon Reed Jr., who hails from Riviera Beach, found himself at the center of a confrontation with Miami Police officers following a breach of arena rules.

The incident began when officers responded to a request from stadium personnel to help address a group of attendees that were not complying with arena policies. As officers approached section 311, Reed was seen making unwanted physical contact with a female officer, prompting her to intervene. When the officer attempted to escort Reed from the venue, he resisted, grabbing hold of a railing to avoid being removed.

Video footage shared on social media captured the chaotic moments that followed as officers struggled to detach Reed from the rail. After multiple attempts to get him to release his grip, one officer deployed a Taser twice, which ultimately caused Reed to let go. However, the situation escalated as Reed reportedly shoved a female officer, resulting in a fall that sent Reed and several officers tumbling down several rows of seats.

More officers quickly joined the effort to restrain Reed, who was finally handcuffed and escorted out of the concert. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue paramedics evaluated Reed, after which he was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital and later to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

In court, Reed faced serious charges, including two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with violence, as stated by Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Mindy Glazer. The judge initially set a stay away order from future events but rescinded it after Reed expressed his intention to attend a Miami Heat basketball game. Reed assured the judge that he would behave appropriately during future visits to the arena.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Reed had posted a bond of $7,500, although he remained in custody at that time. This situation serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to venue rules and the potential consequences of disruptive behavior.
