Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy, the champions of “Dancing With the Stars” Season 32, are set to reunite for a performance during the Season 33 finale, which will air on Tuesday, November 26. This appearance marks their first time dancing together since they won the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy in December 2023.

In a sneak peek shared by Us Weekly, 18-year-old Gomez reflects on her accomplishments since winning the competition, mentioning her high school graduation, turning 18, participating in the DWTS tour, and even designing some clothing. She humorously adds that despite purchasing a car, she still doesn’t know how to drive.

Gomez expresses deep gratitude for her time on the show, stating that this performance is significant for her, not only to showcase the bond she created with Chmerkovskiy but also as a farewell to her title as reigning champion. “I will always be there for my Dancing with the Stars family,” she shares, highlighting her appreciation for the experience and connections made.

The heartwarming video shows Gomez and Chmerkovskiy prepping their routine, with Gomez noting the joy of being back with her partner, who she missed dearly. Chmerkovskiy reciprocates her sentiments, underscoring the vibrant energy they bring to the dance floor. The two discuss passing the torch to the next champion, with Gomez recalling her excitement when last year’s winner, Charli D’Amelio, handed the trophy over to her.

As for the current competition, five couples are vying for the Mirrorball Trophy this season, including Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson, Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong, Danny Amendola and Witney Carson, Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten, and Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold. Graziadei and Johnson, along with Kinney and Armstrong, have consistently excelled in the leaderboard, setting the stage for an exciting finale where anything could happen.

Johnson emphasized the importance of creating joyful moments as the season comes to a close, hoping to cherish the experience. The three-hour finale of “Dancing With the Stars” Season 33 is poised to be a memorable event, airing on ABC and Disney+ at 8 p.m. ET, with the episode available for streaming the following day.

This performance not only signifies a celebration of growth and change for Gomez but also a beautiful reminder of the connections and memories made through dance. As the new champions emerge, the spirit of community and support within the show continues to shine brightly.
