Florida State football suffered its second consecutive defeat on Monday night, and former NFL player Chad Johnson expressed his disappointment, suggesting that FAMU may currently be the superior team.
Following Florida State’s 28-13 loss in a primetime game on Labor Day, Johnson voiced his frustrations during his show, Nightcap, which he co-hosts with Shannon Sharpe. “As a resident of the state of Florida, I’m embarrassed. I’m embarrassed,” Johnson stated, indicating his displeasure with the team’s performance. “The best team in Tallahassee is FAMU.”
Both Florida State University and Florida A&M University (FAMU) are located in Tallahassee, Florida. Johnson further remarked, “FAMU might beat Florida State, based on what I saw tonight,” showcasing his concerns about Florida State’s current state.
Florida State opened its season with a narrow loss to Georgia Tech in Week Zero and followed with another loss at home to Boston College. In contrast, FAMU stands at 2-0 after overcoming challenges from opponents Norfolk State and South Carolina State.
