Ceuta FC Primed for Historic LaLiga Hypermotion Debut Against Valladolid

AD Ceuta FC eyes a historic LaLiga Hypermotion debut as president Luhay Hamido expresses huge optimism ahead of the José Zorrilla clash with Real Valladolid

Hours before AD Ceuta FC faces its LaLiga Hypermotion debut, club president Luhay Hamido spoke to Cadena Ser Valladolid with palpable enthusiasm about the team’s long-awaited return to Spain’s second division after 45 years and the landmark away game against Real Valladolid at the José Zorrilla stadium.

“There could not be a better debut,” Hamido said. “We’re very happy and we’re eager for the 21:30 kickoff. When I took over the club, it was in Tercera División, and I knew the work would be long, but we’ve worked hard and the results have come sooner because we’ve dedicated countless hours, carried out many visualizations, and followed things closely, even spending money out of our own pockets.” He highlighted one of the management pillars—the so-called “cash box” method he devised to keep finances under control. “We optimize resources and the savings are reinvested directly into the wage cap, and that’s despite not having major sponsors in the city,” he explained.

Hamido also praised the Alfonso Murube stadium for its social role, describing it as a meeting point where Ceuta’s four cultures come together regardless of social status, religion, or background. “El Murube has become a temple where Ceuta’s cultures embrace one another. In Ceuta, we are a community of 90,000 people living in 18.5 square kilometers, and Ceuta has become a unifying denominator that binds us all.”

On the sporting side, the objective is clear. “We have a great squad and a strong coaching staff. The first target is to reach 53 or 54 virtual points as quickly as possible. After that, we can enjoy the category more. Now it’s about competing, working, and staying calm because the season is long.”

This milestone marks a significant moment for Ceuta’s football scene, underscoring a parallel narrative of disciplined budgeting, community pride, and ambition on the national stage. Playing away against Valladolid will be a stern test, but the club’s leadership appears focused on pacing the campaign and building momentum from the outset.

Summary: Ceuta’s first foray back into Spain’s second division is framed by a responsible financial model, a unifying local stadium culture, and an early-season target of 53–54 points, all aimed at turning this historic debut into a sustained climb up the table. A positive tone surrounds the club as it heads to Valladolid with aspirations of making a strong impression from day one.
