ORLANDO, Fla. — A noticeable cold front is making its way through central Florida, leading to a drop in temperatures starting today. Residents can expect afternoon temperatures to hover in the mid to upper 70s, along with increased cloud cover and a possibility of one or two passing showers. While light rain may occur in the late morning and early afternoon, widespread rainfall remains unlikely.
The shift in temperatures will become more pronounced tomorrow, with highs around 70°F for a couple of days before another wave of cooler air is predicted. A significant temperature change is anticipated with the next cold front expected to arrive on Wednesday. This front will bring about some of the most considerable weather changes seen in recent months.
On Wednesday and Thursday, widespread showers are likely, with rain totals potentially reaching half an inch. Fortunately, no severe weather impacts are anticipated with this system.
As temperatures continue to drop, by next weekend, afternoon highs are expected to fall to around 60°F. Morning lows may dip into the lower 30s to the north of Orlando and the upper 30s within the city limits.
Weather updates will be provided regularly as new information unfolds in the days ahead.
