The Alaska Jewish Campus is gearing up to host a vibrant celebration for the festival of lights this Sunday, featuring an exhilarating “extreme trampoline show.” This exciting event, themed “Cirque Du Chanukah,” will also showcase a variety of festive activities including food, arts and crafts, inflatables, live music, and more, making it a truly festive occasion for the community.
Rabbi Yosef Greenberg from the Lubavitch Jewish Center of Alaska expressed the significance of the event, stating, “Over a thousand people are attending, just one big party, a huge party, the biggest Jewish event in Alaska of the year.” He emphasized the inclusive nature of Hanukkah, which champions freedom of religion, the respect for diversity, and the powerful message of light triumphing over darkness.
The festivities will kick off at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the Egan Center, located at 555 W. 5th Avenue in Anchorage, with activities running from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are priced at $20 for adults and $13 for children at the door, with discounts available for advanced purchases.
