San Francisco Pride 2025 is set to take place from June 28 to June 29, but the celebration truly encompasses the entire month of June. This year’s theme, “Queer Joy is Resistance,” emphasizes the importance of community and celebration within the LGBTQ+ space.
Throughout the month, a variety of unique events are scheduled. For instance, the Tenderloin Museum will host an immersive play titled “The Compton’s Cafeteria Riot.” Eater SF has curated a list of restaurants and events that uphold the spirit of Pride, prioritizing those that reflect queer artistry, support LGBTQ organizations, and contribute directly to the community.
On June 8, Mission bar Teeth will host a Pride edition of their popular Sungay Brunch, alongside another event, Beats & Eats, on June 22 featuring DJs and extended brunch hours. A drag queen brunch at the patio bar Terrene on June 14 will include performances from Lady Camden and Tila Pia, paired with a lavish buffet.
Restaurants Flour + Water and Penny Roma are bringing back their rainbow scarpinocc dish, contributing $2 to LYRIC (a support organization for LGBTQ youth) with each sale. Flour + Water Pizzeria is introducing an LGBTQIA pizza, with a portion of proceeds also going to LYRIC.
The queer community will also have plenty of opportunities to socialize at venues such as Zeitgeist, which will host drag bingo on June 19, and El Rio, which has scheduled multiple events including a party on June 21. For those seeking a view of the festivities, Starlite will offer a Pride drag show on June 8, with ticket sales supporting Horizon Foundation, an organization focused on LGBTQ nonprofit funding.
In addition, Saluhall in the mid-Market area will feature a pop-up gallery supporting queer artists all month long and will host weekly events. Barrio in Ghirardelli Square will serve a rainbow-layered margarita with proceeds benefiting the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Meanwhile, Verve Coffee Roasters’ blueberry matcha cold foam latte will donate 100 percent of its sales to Equality California.
Queer-focused gatherings also include the Fibers of Being Pride Event on June 7, where a wine club will showcase queer artists. The Ritz-Carlton will be hosting an elegant afternoon tea party throughout June, complete with a Champagne toast and a tower of sandwiches and desserts.
Highlighting community engagement, “Drag Me Downtown” will feature weekly drag shows every Friday, culminating in the Drag Me to Front Street Pride Block Party on June 27, spotlighting Peaches Christ.
As the excitement of Pride Month builds, various venues are preparing to offer unforgettable experiences, celebrating inclusion and joy across San Francisco. As always, local support and participation help ensure the LGBTQ+ community thrives throughout the year, amplifying voices and enriching the cultural landscape.
