Cathay Pacific is set to boost its North American network by resuming non-stop flights between Hong Kong and Seattle from March 30, 2026. This development marks a significant step in the airline’s strategic expansion, as Seattle becomes Cathay Pacific’s ninth destination in North America. Reconnecting Seattle with Hong Kong enhances global connectivity and meets the increasing demand for trans-Pacific travel.

The new service will employ Cathay Pacific’s advanced Airbus A350-900 aircraft, providing passengers with a choice of Business, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins. The flights will operate five days a week, catering to both business and leisure travelers. This move follows the successful launch of the airline’s direct flights to Dallas-Fort Worth in April 2025, which saw an increase in frequency by October the same year.

Seattle’s selection as a destination underscores its importance as a global tech hub and Cathay Pacific’s commitment to meeting the rising demand for international air travel. The introduction of this route broadens Cathay Pacific’s reach in North America, which already includes major cities such as Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto. By summer 2026, the airline plans to have over 110 return flights per week to North American destinations.

To celebrate the return of the Hong Kong-Seattle route, Cathay Pacific is launching a promotional fare for Economy Class travelers. From September 22 to October 31, 2025, round-trip flights can be booked from as low as HK$5,060 for travel between March 30 and June 30, 2026.

In addition to passenger services, the newly resumed Seattle route offers expanded cargo opportunities for Cathay Pacific Cargo, particularly advantageous for transporting e-commerce and tech products. This complements the airline’s freighter services, which will operate around 40 return flights a week to North America.

Cathay Pacific is not only focusing on growth but also on improving the passenger experience. The airline is rolling out new amenities, including its award-winning Aria Suite Business Class. Future plans include opening a dedicated airport lounge at New York’s JFK International Airport in 2026.

The resumption of flights highlights Cathay Pacific’s commitment to sustainable aviation, utilizing the fuel-efficient Airbus A350 to reduce carbon emissions and support green aviation practices.

This expansion is a testament to Cathay Pacific’s focus on bridging major global cities, enhancing passenger and cargo connectivity, and reinforcing its status as a key player in the international airline industry. With its emphasis on innovation, customer satisfaction, and sustainability, Cathay Pacific continues to set high standards in the industry.
