Local attendees Kaitlin Gordon and Dana Shumate shared that they purchased their tickets as soon as they became available, expressing their excitement for the event. “We look so forward to it every year. It’s on our calendar. We always have the best experience here,” Shumate remarked during the tournament.
Organizers noted that 43% of this year’s ticket buyers are first-time attendees. Shumate revealed she spent under $200 for tickets over two days, highlighting the affordability of the event. “I don’t know where you can come to such a high-quality tournament with high-quality players for the price,” she stated.
For those considering attending for the first time, Ben Baumeister, senior director of strategy at the Cincinnati Open, advised opting for grandstand tickets instead of center court to save money. “I think grandstand tickets are one of the best bangs for your buck,” he explained. The grandstand, the second-largest court at the venue, offers an enjoyable atmosphere where fans can watch top players while accessing various entertainment options around the grounds.
All attendees are welcome to visit the fan zone for photo opportunities, live music, and food. Baumeister mentioned that tickets for earlier sessions are priced between $30 and $40, which is more affordable compared to the increased prices for semifinal and final matches later in the week.
The economic influence of the tournament is substantial, attracting visitors from around the globe to Cincinnati. “It’s truly a global event that draws people from all over the world here, and it’s just a really special thing to see this many people come from that far across the world to Cincinnati, Ohio,” he said.
