On November 8, the Catalan Handball Federation celebrated FC Barcelona during the 31st edition of the Fiesta of Catalan Handball. Joan Solé, the director in charge of the handball section, accepted the award on behalf of the club, recognizing the first team’s remarkable achievements during the 2023/24 season. These titles include the Champions League, Liga ASOBAL, Copa del Rey, Copa Asobal, Supercopa Ibérica, and Supercopa de Catalunya, as well as the accomplishments of the youth teams.
In addition to FC Barcelona’s recognition, Aleix Gómez and Petar Cikusa received accolades for their bronze medal win at the Paris Olympic Games. Furthermore, Petar Cikusa, Djorde Cikusa, Ian Barrufet, and Òscar Grau were honored for their success as Junior European Champions.
The event was held at the Les Moreres Municipal Sports Complex in Esplugues de Llobregat and saw an impressive turnout of nearly 400 attendees, showcasing the vibrant community and support for handball in Catalonia.
