Mango has announced its collaboration with Norwegian tennis star Casper Ruud, appointing him as the new global ambassador for the Mango Man line as part of the Autumn/Winter 2025 ‘Essentials’ campaign. This partnership aligns with Mango’s strategic trajectory for 2024-2026, focusing on international growth and prestigious collaborations.
Mango Man, established in 2008, has shown considerable growth momentum, highlighted by the inauguration of its first standalone UK store at Westfield London (White City) earlier this year. Ruud joins a distinguished group of Mango Man ambassadors, including renowned figures like Antoine Griezmann, Gerard Piqué, Zinedine Zidane, and Adrien Brody.
The AW25 Essentials campaign, featuring Ruud, emphasizes the synergy between sport and fashion, resonating with Mango’s brand message, ‘Craft your own story’. This narrative encourages consumers to embrace their uniqueness. The showcased collection, as modeled by Ruud, includes a short trench coat, polished tailoring, a peacoat, and various knitwear pieces in a neutral color scheme.
In the realm of fashion and tennis collaborations, Ruud’s ambassadorship follows British tennis player Jack Draper’s new role as a brand ambassador for Burberry earlier this year. Draper also recently entered into a multi-year agreement with Vuori, an athleisure brand, to develop a signature collection. Draper’s visibility in the fashion world has been further enhanced by his association with Vuori, previously a Nike athlete, during the US Open tournament.
These partnerships underline the growing intersection of sports and fashion, with athletes increasingly becoming influential figures in the fashion industry, bringing a dynamic blend of athletic influence and style to global audiences.
