CART Max Fiji Pte Ltd, known as Cart Max Pet Shop, successfully hosted its inaugural vaccine and pet health outreach program at Shirley Park in Lautoka this past Saturday. The Namaka-based clinic, which began its operations in December, aims to extend its services to better assist pet owners in the Sugar City who face transportation challenges.

Veterinarian Dr. Dakshil Kumar highlighted the significance of connecting with pet owners in the Nadi-Lautoka corridor. “We opened our clinic in early December, and during our operations, we recognized the need to expand our services for those unable to travel to Nadi for veterinary care,” Dr. Kumar shared. The event attracted a large number of attendees, and he conveyed optimism about efficiently offering services to all present.

The outreach featured two dedicated stations offering various veterinary and retail services. One station was focused on the pet shop, providing items such as collars, food, and preventative flea and tick treatments, while the other offered free veterinary consultations and a vaccination drive.

Currently, the clinic provides de-sexing services at its Nadi location, with plans to introduce these procedures through future mobile outreach events. “We do de-sexing and we also aim to conduct a de-sexing outreach in the future,” Dr. Kumar confirmed.

This initiative not only addresses immediate pet health needs but also fosters a sense of community and support among pet owners in the region. The proactive measures by Cart Max Pet Shop showcase a commendable approach to enhancing accessibility to quality pet care.
