Carrie Underwood’s commitment to her faith has always been a prominent aspect of her public persona, both in her music and her social media presence. Now, fans will have the opportunity to view one of her iconic gowns at the newly opened Museum of Christian and Gospel Music in Nashville.
Just a month after its grand opening, the museum, which includes the Mike Curb Presents GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame, has introduced an impressive exhibit featuring a Monique Lhuillier gown worn by Underwood. This particular dress holds special significance as it was the same attire she donned during her “My Savior: LIVE From the Ryman” performance on Easter Sunday in 2021, emblematic of her deep Christian faith.
The “My Savior” album marked a milestone in Underwood’s career as it was a complete Christian and gospel project that topped the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart upon its release in March 2021.
The Museum of Christian & Gospel Music, which opened its doors in October 2025, was established to honor the legacy and influence of Christian and gospel music. It offers a range of exhibits and live performances that celebrate the genre’s history and its artists.
In addition to Underwood’s gown, visitors will find a diverse collection of memorabilia. This includes outfits worn by gospel legends such as Dottie Rambo, Natalie Grant, CeCe Winans, and Lauren Daigle. The museum also features notable items like Johnny Cash’s family Bible, songbooks dating back over two centuries, and a soundboard previously used for mixing some of Amy Grant’s early recordings.
Since winning Season 4 of “American Idol” in 2005, Carrie Underwood has maintained an impressive career trajectory, releasing nine albums, embarking on seven tours, and venturing into acting and business. She has emerged as one of the most successful performers from the show, winning numerous awards and accumulating a remarkable net worth exceeding $100 million.
The display of her gown at the museum not only reflects her musical achievements but also her dedication to her faith, inspiring many fans who look up to her both as an artist and as an individual.
