Carnival Cruise Line has unveiled exciting new itineraries for the Carnival Sunrise, set to launch from PortMiami in 2027. Starting on May 6, 2027, the ship will embark on a series of 4- to 6-day voyages, including both short getaways to The Bahamas and longer holiday cruises to sought-after Caribbean destinations.

Cruisers can look forward to a vibrant short-cruise program that includes stops at Carnival’s Celebration Key and RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, along with select visits to Nassau in The Bahamas. The highlight of the program will be two extended holiday sailings in 2027. The first, scheduled for Thanksgiving on November 22, will take passengers to Celebration Key, Grand Cayman, and Montego Bay in Jamaica. The second Christmas sailing on December 20 will feature stops at Celebration Key, Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic, and Grand Turk in the Turks & Caicos Islands.

This announcement aligns with Royal Caribbean’s recent expansion of Caribbean sailings from Florida, also scheduled for 2027-2028. Royal Caribbean will offer a variety of itineraries departing from three ports, including Port Canaveral, PortMiami, and Port Tampa Bay. They will feature an impressive fleet of ships like the Star of the Seas and Wonder of the Seas, catering to a broad range of preferences—from short getaways to longer excursions.

For those departing from Port Canaveral, the Star of the Seas will present 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean sailings with new stops in Samana and Cozumel, while the Utopia of the Seas will provide 3- and 4-night short trips to Perfect Day at CocoCay and the upcoming Royal Beach Club Paradise Island. On the other hand, the Harmony of the Seas, after undergoing upgrades, will offer 7-night itineraries to St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and Jamaica.

Cruisers from PortMiami can expect the Wonder of the Seas to feature similar short escapes to The Bahamas and Perfect Day at CocoCay, complete with day-pass access to the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island. Meanwhile, from Port Tampa Bay, Radiance of the Seas will run 4- to 8-night voyages covering the Western Caribbean, including stops at the Royal Beach Club Cozumel and other popular Mexican locations.

These developments reflect the cruise industry’s ongoing commitment to offer diverse and exciting travel opportunities for vacationers looking to explore the Caribbean and beyond. With new ports, destinations, and enhanced experiences on the horizon, both Carnival and Royal Caribbean are well-positioned to attract a broad spectrum of travelers seeking memorable adventures on the high seas.
