Carnival Cruise Line has replaced more than a month of canceled fall 2026 sailings from its West Coast schedule with a new slate of adults-only casino-focused voyages, the company’s latest pivot to expand a popular specialty product. Multiple tip emails reviewed by Cruise News Today show that 11 canceled sailings on the West Coast will now be operated as Carnival’s SEA — Sailings Exclusively for Adults — cruises aboard Carnival Firenze.

SEA cruises were first trialed in summer 2025 as casino-focused voyages marketed to casino loyalty members. The test’s strong demand prompted Carnival to broaden the program through 2026, and the line is now bringing the adults-only product to the U.S. West Coast for the first time. Offers for the newly added SEA sailings have been targeted to West Coast residents aged 21 and over, according to messages received by Cruise News Today’s tip line.

Two bookings identified in the targeted offers include a 14-day voyage departing October 19, 2026, and an 11-night Mexican Riviera cruise departing November 2, 2026. Carnival’s adults-only SEA cruises are being pitched with expanded casino hours and perks, upgraded dining and other onboard benefits designed to create a “grown-up” ambience distinct from the line’s mainstream family-friendly sailings.

The SEA voyages aboard Carnival Firenze are scheduled just before the ship repositions off the West Coast to begin an East Coast deployment in early 2027. Carnival Firenze is one of the line’s two Italian-themed vessels, and the new adult-only slate temporarily reshapes its fall itinerary while the ship remains on the West Coast. Cruise News Today host Doug Parker reported the development on the April 3 edition of his show; the item was originally published by TravelHost in the Come Cruise With Me section.

Carnival has emphasized that the SEA offerings are a niche segment within a broader portfolio that remains family-oriented. Still, the expansion reflects the company’s interest in monetizing casino-centric demand and tailoring sailings to specific customer groups. The targeted email campaign suggests Carnival is experimenting with direct marketing to drive bookings on these specialty cruises.

The conversion of 11 fall sailings to adult-only casino cruises marks one of the more substantial short-term itinerary changes the line has made recently for West Coast departures. Passengers affected by the original cancellations should have received booking notifications or options from Carnival; targeted SEA offers are being distributed to eligible guests and residents on the line’s mailing lists. The changes come as Carnival continues to test and expand niche cruise formats after the initial 2025 rollout of SEA sailings.
