Jeremy Allen White returns as the beloved Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto in the eagerly anticipated fourth season of the Hulu series “The Bear,” which is set to premiere on June 25 with all 10 episodes available for streaming. The new season kicks off with a tense atmosphere as financier Cicero, played by Oliver Platt, pressures Carmy to save his restaurant amidst a looming financial crisis, with the newly installed clock in the kitchen symbolizing the urgent countdown until The Bear runs out of funds.
The cast remains strong with Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, Matty Matheson, and Lionel Boyce reprising their roles, while notable recurring appearances will be made by Jon Bernthal, Ricky Staffieri, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Molly Gordon. “The Bear” was created by Christopher Storer, who continues to serve as an executive producer and director for most of the episodes.
Since its debut in 2022, “The Bear” has received critical acclaim, exemplified by winning 10 Emmys out of 13 nominations, which include Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for White and Outstanding Supporting Actor and Actress for Moss-Bachrach and Edebiri, respectively.
Beyond his work on “The Bear,” Jeremy Allen White is experiencing a flourishing career. He is set to star alongside Austin Butler in the A24 thriller “Enemies,” which will begin filming in Chicago this summer, the same city where “The Bear” is set. Additionally, White will portray Bruce Springsteen in the upcoming biopic “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” a project directed by Scott Cooper that depicts the making of Springsteen’s famous album “Nebraska.” Springsteen himself has praised White’s performance, noting his singing abilities in the film.
Casting director Jeanie Bacherach has previously highlighted that White was always viewed as a standout talent for “The Bear,” even before the show was officially picked up. She recalls the initial conversations around his involvement and the excitement it generated among the creative team.
Fans can look forward to the upcoming season’s challenges, character developments, and the culinary drama that has made “The Bear” a standout series. With its return, there is much anticipation for how Carmy will navigate the pressures of the kitchen and continue to grow as a chef and a leader.
