This victory marks an important milestone for Carlito, making him the fourth member of The Judgment Day to hold a championship title. He joins the ranks of Dominik Mysterio, the Intercontinental Champion, and Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan, who are the current Women’s Tag Team Champions. Carlito’s last appearance before claiming the title was in June 2023 during WWC’s 50th Anniversary show.
Despite this triumph, Carlito has shared thoughts on the future of his wrestling career. In a recent interview with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, he acknowledged that he is aware that his wrestling days are numbered, stating he doesn’t have a specific retirement date in mind but will know when the time is right. He emphasizes that he is more focused on enjoying his remaining time in the ring rather than pursuing high-stakes dream matches, expressing a desire to create a body of work that he can be proud of.
