CareLineLive Secures Major Investment to Transform Homecare Tech

Technology investment firm Accel-KKR has made a significant majority investment in CareLineLive, enhancing the company’s mission to improve homecare through technology. Founder Josh Hough announced that the current senior management will stay on board as earlier investors, Oakglen and Haatch, step away from their roles. The exact financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed.

Founded in Sussex in 2014, CareLineLive has made a name for itself in the HealthTech arena by offering a comprehensive cloud-based platform designed to streamline operations for homecare agencies. Their system integrates essential services, including staff scheduling, client visit management, patient record keeping, and invoicing, currently aiding hundreds of care providers across seven countries.

Hough, who once faced significant personal financial challenges to sustain the company, expressed optimism about how this new investment will expedite CareLineLive’s growth and broaden its international scope. “Our vision has always been to make homecare better for everyone through technology,” he said, emphasizing the collaborative nature of care aimed at providers, carers, and clients alike.

A key initiative stemming from this investment involves establishing a customer support team in Australia, ensuring around-the-clock assistance for clients. With this addition, CareLineLive will offer continuous support, allowing seamless service as teams transition between regions.

Hough also honored the previous investors, acknowledging their crucial role in the company’s decade-long progress. “This marks an exciting new chapter with Accel-KKR,” he stated.

Accel-KKR, known for its focus on enterprise software and tech-enabled businesses, highlighted the importance of CareLineLive’s customer-centric approach and innovative technology as decisive factors in their investment. Maurice Hernandez, managing director at Accel-KKR, conveyed enthusiasm for supporting CareLineLive, noting how technology can enhance the efficiency and compliance of home care providers while maintaining a focus on client wellbeing.

This partnership showcases a promising future for CareLineLive within the health technology space and reflects a growing recognition of the role that innovative solutions play in improving healthcare services globally.
