Cardi B has officially filed for divorce from her husband, Offset, who is a member of the rap group Migos.
A representative for Cardi B confirmed the filing, stating that the decision was not due to any specific incident but had been a long time coming and is amicable.
While Cardi B has not directly addressed the divorce on Instagram, she posted a photo of herself on a rooftop, cradling her stomach to reveal a baby bump.
“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power,” she wrote in the caption. “It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, and Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, have two children together: a 5-year-old daughter named Kulture and a 2-year-old son named Wave.
The couple secretly got married on September 20, 2017, in Atlanta and announced their engagement a month later. Cardi B had previously filed for divorce from Offset in 2020, citing that their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
