The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association has unveiled the latest power rankings for fall high school sports, setting the stage for this season’s tournaments. Teams in football, soccer, field hockey, and girls’ volleyball are vying for their place in the playoffs based on their rankings and performance criteria.
In football, for a team to qualify for the playoffs, it must rank among the top 16, secure at least three wins, and have played seven games. In field hockey, Barnstable leads by ranking 11th in Division 2, with Sandwich impressively situated at second place in Division 3, while Dennis-Yarmouth dominates Division 4, holding the top spot. In football, Barnstable again stands strong in seventh place within Division 3.
