Call of Duty Update Brings Warzone Sensor Buff, Zombies Fixes, and Free Trials

A new update has been rolled out for both Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone on December 10, bringing various improvements and bug fixes, although some Zombies players may find certain changes disappointing.

The patch notes highlight several fixes for the new Astra Malorum Zombies map, addressing critical issues such as a bug that could leave the character Oscar stuck in the starting area. Additionally, there is a fix for the LGM-1 Wonder Weapon, which exhibited erratic behavior when paired with specific GobbleGums and the Frenzied Fire augment. These changes, however, may disrupt strategies players previously utilized to strengthen their Wonder Weapon during challenging boss fights.

A significant bug was also corrected that had incorrectly awarded completion rewards for the Astra Malorum boss fight even if players failed the encounter.

In the multiplayer section, players will benefit from fixes aimed at preventing users from leaving game areas on maps including Standoff, Fate, Scar, Paranoia, and Toshin. Other improvements address issues like the ability to select the One in the Chamber game mode in private matches and a pesky bug that prevented loading-screen statistics from appearing in the 20v20 Skirmish mode.

The update also provides minor adjustments for Black Ops 7’s Endgame campaign mode, fixing a problem with exotic-rarity weapons that hindered progress toward their camos or base weapon levels, as well as issues with dedicated melee weapons not functioning as intended with the Mega Punch exotic skill.

On the Warzone front, players can expect enhancements to the Heartbeat Sensor, with its detection range increased from 15 to 60 meters. This change aims to boost the device’s effectiveness as an intelligence tool, making it a more impactful counter to the Ghost perk.

In addition to these new features and bug fixes, the publisher has announced a significant strategic shift for the Call of Duty series. Players can also look forward to a free trial for Black Ops 7’s multiplayer and Zombies modes, alongside a Double XP weekend event to enhance their gaming experience.

With these updates, players can expect a smoother and more engaging gameplay experience as developers continue to fine-tune the game. The changes cater to the community’s feedback, indicating a responsive approach by the developers to enhance player satisfaction across both the multiplayer and Zombies modes.
