Caitlin Clark continued to impress as the rookie guard of the Indiana Fever, nearly matching her season-high in points during a thrilling 100-93 comeback victory against the Dallas Wings. This win marks the Fever’s fourth consecutive victory, bringing their record to 17-16, putting them above .500 for the first time this season.

Clark scored 28 points in the game, although her teammate Kelsey Mitchell shone with a career-high 36 points. Clark started somewhat quietly by her standards, managing just five points in the first quarter and a half. During that time, Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale took center stage, hitting five 3-pointers in the first quarter and tallying 24 points by halftime.

Despite a slow start, Clark etched her name further into Indiana Fever history by surpassing Tamika Catchings’ rookie franchise record for most points in a single season, as she reached her 595th point in the game. Ogunbowale tied a single-game WNBA record with nine 3-pointers, yet it was Clark and the Fever who dominated the fourth quarter, outscoring Dallas 30-19. Key to this surge were Clark’s deep 3-pointers that fueled the comeback.

This performance follows Clark’s impressive 31-point outing in a previous victory against the Chicago Sky. Notably, the Fever have now scored 100 or more points in back-to-back games for the first time in the franchise’s history.

In the matchup against the Wings, Clark played for 37 minutes and recorded 28 points on 10-of-19 shooting, including 5-of-11 from three-point range. Additionally, she contributed four rebounds, 12 assists, and one steal, marking her 12th double-double of the season, though she also recorded seven turnovers.
