INDIANAPOLIS – Caitlin Clark, a guard for the Indiana Fever, was recently named to the 2024 All-WNBA First Team, as announced by the league. Clark garnered 52 First Team votes from a national panel of 67 sportswriters and broadcasters. This accolade places her alongside Tamika Catchings, the only other player in franchise history to achieve All-WNBA First Team honors, with Catchings having received the honor seven times. Earlier this month, Clark was also recognized as the WNBA Rookie of the Year on October 3 and the Associated Press Rookie of the Year on September 22.
Clark becomes the first rookie since Candace Parker in 2008 to earn a spot on the All-WNBA First Team, and only the fifth rookie selected since 2000, joining the ranks of Sue Bird (2002), Catchings (2002), and Diana Taurasi (2004).
The All-WNBA First Team also includes unanimous selections Napheesa Collier and A’ja Wilson, as well as Breanna Stewart and Alyssa Thomas.
Voting for the All-WNBA Team took place after the regular season concluded, with players being selected irrespective of position. Each First Team vote earns five points and each Second Team vote three points. In recognition of their achievements, those named to the All-WNBA First Team will receive $10,300, while Second Team members will receive $5,150.
