Caitlin Clark, the standout rookie guard for the Indiana Fever, came close to her season-high in points, contributing significantly to a dramatic 100-93 comeback victory against the Dallas Wings. This win marks the Fever’s fourth consecutive triumph, pushing their record to 17-16 and over .500 for the first time this season.

In the game, Clark recorded 28 points, although her teammate Kelsey Mitchell had an impressive career-high of 36 points. Clark had a subdued beginning, only scoring five points throughout the first quarter and into the second. Meanwhile, Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale excelled, making five 3-pointers in the opening quarter and amassing 24 points by halftime.

Despite a slow start, Clark made history by surpassing Tamika Catchings’ franchise record for the most points scored by a rookie in a single season when she hit her 595th point on Sunday. Ogunbowale matched a single-game WNBA record with nine 3-pointers, but it was the Fever who surged in the fourth quarter, outscoring Dallas 30-19. Clark played a critical role during this period, hitting two deep 3-pointers that energized the team.

This performance follows her 31-point outing against the Chicago Sky just days earlier, making it the first instance in franchise history that the Fever scored over 100 points in consecutive games.

In 37 minutes of play against the Wings, Clark shot 10-of-19 from the field, including 5-of-11 from three-point range. She also contributed four rebounds, 12 assists, and one steal, achieving her 12th double-double of the season despite committing seven turnovers.
