This season, Buxton has demonstrated remarkable skill on the field, hitting 20 home runs in just 73 games, tying him for fifth in the American League. His ability to excel is showcased through his record of five leadoff home runs this year, with a total of 14 for his career. He has also led Major League Baseball with six games that feature at least one home run and one stolen base.

Buxton’s excitement is shared by his sons, especially his oldest, Brix, who is an avid player of the video game MLB The Show. “Oh yeah,” Buxton said, referencing Brix’s enthusiasm. “He always is like, ‘Dad, if you do this, I want to bring you a towel!’ and I’m like, all right. That’s all he cares about.”
