Extra Bula FC’s head coach, Stéphane Auvray, has urged supporters to exercise patience as the club continues its development journey in the OFC Pro League. Despite experiencing some inconsistent results during the Melbourne leg of the competition, Auvray has noticed sparks of promise within the team, highlighting the effort and intensity displayed by the players.

Acknowledging the importance of fan understanding, Auvray noted that many supporters recognize the team is still in a building phase. “I believe most of the fans understand that we’re in a building phase. When people watch the game live, they see the intensity and the amount of work the players produce,” he remarked.

The French coach emphasized the need to maintain focus on the development process, allowing players the necessary time to adapt and grow within the system. He is optimistic about the future, stating, “We’re just going to keep going this way, and at some point, things will pay off with even more success. Just give us time to work properly, and when the time comes, we will reap the fruits.”

Auvray also took a moment to express gratitude for the unwavering support from fans, both in Melbourne and their home country of Fiji. He pointed out the significance of this support, especially since it marks the inaugural presence of a professional team representing Fiji. “It’s important for our players and it’s important for the country because it’s the first time we have a professional team. We’re thankful for the support, and hopefully, fans are looking forward to when we return home to play.”

Bula FC is set to face Tahiti United next on the 15th of this month, providing an opportunity for the team to showcase their development and dedication. With supporters rallying behind them, there is hope that the fruits of their hard work will soon be realized.
